College Awards

The College institute awards to encourage graduating students, acknowledging their service, skills and potentialities, and to honor the memory of outstanding citizens of the community.

REV. ZUPELHI & ESO-Ü MERO AWARD for Academic Proficiency
This Award is instituted by the family of the couple in honor of their services to BTC during its years at Phezu. It is awarded to a graduating student who has the highest overall grade in the entire period of study.

KEWETSHÜPE MERO AWARD
for General Contribution
This Award is instituted by his family in memory of his service to
CBCC as a Youth Secretary. It is awarded to a graduating student
who has made noteworthy contribution to the college in all aspects.

NETSÜTSO THEYO AWARD
for Ministry
This award is instituted by his children in honor of his service as the first convert to Christianity from Thenyizu village and also the first pastor of the village church. Although he later joined the state politics to become a deputy minister (1966) and cabinet minister (1971) in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, he continued to be an ardent minister for the Lord. It is awarded to a graduating student who has shown greatest enthusiasm for ministry and shows potential for excellence even in the future.

MEDIKHRU AWARD FOR MISSIONS
This award is instituted by the son and his family in honor of Medikhru who was an early Chakhesang settler in Kohima, an educator and an accomplished entrepreneur. He was also a pioneer in establishing Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou. He had a keen interest and concern for doing mission with the Burmese Nagas. The award is given to a graduating student who has engaged actively in missions and evangelism and has a continuing commitment to the same task.

PROFICIENCY AWARDS IN DIFFERENT CLUSTERS OF STUDIES

Proficiency Award is awarded to graduating students who have secured highest mark in Biblical Cluster, Theology and Ethics Cluster, History and Mission Cluster, Christian Ministry Cluster, Interdisciplinary Cluster, General Studies, Practical Ministry, Preaching, Religion Cluster, Scripture and Music.

BAPTIST AWARD FOR LIFETIME SERVICE (BAFoLS)

This Award is instituted by the College to recognize a Chakhesang citizen or Naga (in special cases) for their notable service to the local and global community. It is awarded on the Graduation Day.

ANNUAL COLLEGE AWARDS

Annual College Award is organized by the college authority to recognize the toppers and runners-up in all subject clusters from all classes. It is usually held on the night of Teachers’ Day.
