Course Detail

CERTIFICATE IN CHURCH MUSIC

The college offers Certificate in Church Music (CCM) with Baptist Institute of Church Music (BICuM). It is a full time, residential course of one academic year (June-April).

a. Duration: One academic year (session to begin in June and end in April/May)
b. Nature of training: Residential/full time.
c. Objective: To train gifted musicians for church music ministry. It can also be deemed a formal introductory
course for doing higher studies in music.
d. Relationship with BD: The CCM students will be treated as any other student of BTC and will have to abide
by the rules and regulations of the College and attend its programs, with the exception of Practical Ministry.
They will be bonafide members of BTCSA.
e. Exams: They will write two semesters exam with the BD students. There will be both written and
practical/forums and recitals.
f. Graduation: The students shall graduate together with the BD students and will receive their certificates
along with them.
g. Medium of Instruction: English
h. Eligibility: Minimum qualification must be matric passed.
i. Size of Class: Maximum intake will be 10 students per batch.
j. Fees: They will follow the same fee structure as BD students with additional costs for practicals/forums and
recitals, if required.
